The Siskiyou County Historical Society provides excellent historical research on a wide variety of queries, whether it is family history, town history, mining history, logging history, stage history, building information, local lore, and other areas of historical interest. We will be happy to research for you!
Research requests:
Please contact us by using our Online Research Submission Form, by phone, email or via surface mail. If choosing surface mail please use our Printable Research Request Form for mailing.
Photocopies or other materials or services, special requests, and shipping may have additional fees. Newspaper obituaries, stories, or other information not able to be photocopied can be transcribed from the originals; cost may vary depending on length. Depending on the documents requested please note government agencies may charge for both a search and per page for copies. Copies or reproductions of photos and special documents may have additional charges depending on size, type, etc.
Pricing:
Research requests are charged at $15 per hour, with a one hour minimum paid in advance. We suggest if you are embarking on a research project that you give us a maximum number of research hours to initially complete (essentially a dollar amount not to exceed…) so we can provide you with additional information on how much time it may take to continue with in-depth research if that is what you require.
We look forward to assisting you!
Your research query will be reviewed and forwarded to one of the members of our research team. A team member will respond and inform you they will be handling the request.
